What's a console application?
Console applications are applications that run in the Win32 character mode. The console application is perfectly capable of performing a plethora of programming tasks. And the executable is usually a tenth of the size of an equivalent GUI application.
How do I work this thing?
In your newsreader, select a series of articles to download. Then hit Save and save all the articles to one file on your computer (call it a.htm). Then type: dsuu a That's it. See Usage for details.
What's the difference between the trial version and the Registered version?
The trial version is a limited version of dsuu.exe. Specifically,
  • it has the front-end nag & back-end keypress,
  • it delays after decoding each file, and
  • it decodes only a random number of files before quitting.
Why do you charge for it when everthing else on the Internet seems to be free?
If you look at the Version History, you'll see that a lot of time and work has gone into making dsuu. We feel that the modest license fee of $19 is reasonable.
Why shouldn't I just go get a free news agent that's yEnc compatible?
You're more than welcome to do so. Keep in mind, however, that dsuu was designed for the console guru. Windows is all fine and good, but for the work we do, we always have a Console window opened at all times. And dsuu is the perfect tool for decoding bulk-downloads.
Do you have other console applications available?
Yes! They're all at ConsoleApps.com You'll find both 16- and 32-bit apps. Lots of freeware too.
Ok, I'm sold! How do I get my registered version?
dsuu.exe may be licensed online for $19 USD by following this link.
