DSUU is DATASTAR's premium decoding software designed for the person who bulk-downloads articles from a Usenet news server and decodes them later at one shot.
dsuu will decode files in UU, Base-64, and yEnc formats. It also combines files that have been split by HJSplit.
dsuu is a native 32-bit console application which is totally self-contained. That is:- it makes no modifications to your registry, and
- it requires no external DLLs.
It's one simple EXE (dsuu.exe). Put it in your tools directory and you're all set!
Why the name dsuu? The answer is historical in nature. The 'ds' stands for DATASTAR. And 'uu' stands for the UU encoding method: originally, the one and only. Even though we've added more formats, we just left it at dsuu because it was short and sweet.
